How to Switch

Switching to GMF Health is easy, and we can help you choose a health insurance product that’s right for you.

We’ll also take into account your membership with your previous insurer. This means you’ll receive:

  • Immediate cover with no waiting periods, provided that you have switched to GMF Health within two months of leaving your previous fund and already served all the waiting periods for your new level of cover
  • Credit for your total length of membership with your previous fund, which means you’ll receive the same benefits as a member who has been with us for the same amount of time that you’ve been with your previous insurer
