Family Choice
If you’re part of a growing family who might need access to a range of services, Family Choice is the perfect way to combine both Hospital and Necessities health insurance.
It’s a great value option that will give you peace of mind as well as many useful benefits, including maternity cover.
Family Choice Hospital
You can receive benefits for most hospital services including maternity, with a few exclusions for services that you are less likely to need – which helps to keep your premium down.

Family Choice cover has an excess of $150 per person, per year. This means you pay a lower health insurance premium, but you’ll pay an excess of $150 per person for any overnight hospital stays within each calendar year.
There is a maximum of $300 each year, so after two overnight hospital stays you won’t have to pay the excess again for that year. And of course, if you don’t have an overnight hospital stay you don’t have to pay the excess at all.
Family Choice doesn’t cover joint replacement and only pays limited benefits for psychiatric care, cosmetic surgery, assisted reproductive services and major eye surgery. This also helps to keep your health insurance premiums low.
With Family Choice, you’ll be covered for most unexpected trips to hospital.
