Bronze Cover

Bronze Hospital is a very basic level of hospital cover which requires you to pay an excess and room/intensive care co-payments for your hospital stay.

Bronze Hospital excludes medical gap cover, joint replacement, coronary heart and cardiothoracic procedures, cosmetic surgery, assisted reproductive services, maternity and birth related services and major eye surgery.

Bronze Hospital pays limited benefits on psychiatric care and rehabilitation.

Bronze Hospital cover is only available with Bronze Necessities cover.

Excess

A $50 daily co-payment will apply for a day or overnight stay in a private or public hospital in a shared room accommodation.

A $80 daily co-payment applies for a day or overnight stay for intensive care treatment in a private hospital.

An excess of $200 per person will apply for an overnight hospital stay.

A maximum excess of $400 for singles and $800 for couples/families applies per calendar year. This excess is in addition to any hospital room co-payments that may apply.

No excess is payable for same day procedures.
