GMF Health – named as ‘Star’ private health insurer
A recent comparison of private health insurance funds across Australia has shown that GMF Health is amongst the country’s best.
The June edition of Your Money Magazine showcased private health insurance companies and looked at levels of cover for singles and families, from basic to high level hospital plus extras like dental and optical cover. Each policy was ranked by price with the best value policies awarded medals in their category.
The magazine named GMF amongst the ‘Star private health performers’ which ‘deserved special recognition for providing best overall value to members’.
GMF was awarded a silver medal in the ‘Medium to High-level Family Cover’ category and a bronze medal in the ‘High-level Hospital and Extras’.
GMF Health Executive Manager, Mark Pereira said that winning the awards reflected what GMF is all about.
“We offer simple, straightforward health insurance,” said Mr Pereira.
“We’re a not-for-profit fund with no shareholders which means we’re committed to providing the community with great value and customer service.

The awards came soon after the recent refurbishment of the GMF building on Egan Street, the new look has a focus on members’ privacy.
