About GMF

GMF Health has been helping members throughout Australia for over 50 years. Over that time, we’ve grown in size and strength so that today we provide health cover for over 60,000 members Australia wide.

GMF Health is a regionally based not-for-profit fund, committed to providing value for money products and personalised customer service to our members.

Because we have no shareholders, member premiums are used to pay claims and cover administrative costs – in the last financial year we paid over $56 million back to our members in claims.

As a regionally focused health insurer, we understand the needs of our regional members and tailor our products accordingly – including things like travel and accommodation benefits if you need to travel for a procedure.

We are also actively committed to helping members and the community enjoy a healthy lifestyle. This is demonstrated through our 'Give it a Go' initiatives, which include a series of events and sponsorships in the regional WA community that provide opportunities for people to be physically active and enjoy the benefits of staying healthy.
